FRANK
MOREAU
RB | (6-0 7/8, 225, 4.62) | Louisville
by Pro Football Weekly
Drafted by: Kansas City, Pick 21, Round 4 , Overall 115
Notes: Was
slated to redshirt in 1995 but wound up playing because of injuries
and carried 96 times for 416 yards and two touchdowns, although he
did not play in the first five games. Tore his anterior cruciate ligament
in the '96 opener and had to redshirt. Had surgery. Began '97 as a
backup but wound up as the leading rusher on the team, carrying 120-573-5
and catching 10 passes for 45 yards. Backup in a one-back offense
in '98, when he carried 43-307-3 and caught 5-39. Took over as the
starter in '99 and had a big year, despite missing one game with a
hand injury. Carried 233-1,289-17 and caught 38-285.
Positives: Good
size and run vision. Can see the hole and knows how to use his blockers.
Has adequate speed. Runs hard and will work to finish his runs.
Can catch the ball.
Negatives: Is
not a really nifty runner. Does not cut and change directions very
well or make that many tacklers miss. Runs very upright, which makes
him a bigger target and makes it easier to strip him of the ball.
Summary: Nothing
really stands out about this player, but he can't be overlooked
because of his production.
